About me

I was born in Wrocław, Poland, in 1984, and I still live here. I play, write, edit and sell. Usually all at once.

My name is Michał Bedner. I'm the founder, singer and lyricist of 4dziki, a punk rock band from Wrocław, and for the past few years also the director and editor of our music videos and the person behind the visual side of our shows.

I picked up a guitar when I was thirteen. I only started learning to sing in 2022, because I thought I could sing until I played two shows in a row. That pretty much sums up how I work: first I do it, then I learn whatever I was missing.

The road

I started the band in 2001, back in high school. The years in between weren't a break from playing. In 2009 I moved to Zielona Góra and played rhythm guitar in Dormant Dissident, and after coming back to Wrocław I played in the heavy metal band Panzerhund. I came back to 4dziki in 2018, and since the band got back together with a steady lineup we've played more than a hundred shows, including most of the major rock and punk festivals in Poland.

From June 2023 to January 2024 I lived in Kharkiv, Ukraine. That changed the way I see why we play and who this music is for. At the end of 2023 we collected more than two hundred Christmas parcels and I drove them there for children whose homes had been destroyed by Russian attacks. They got them for Christmas.

Spain

“Agarra Este Momento” taught me the most. I wrote the song and talked musicians whose records I grew up on into singing on it in Spanish: Juankar from Boikot, David SKU from Kaos Urbano and Kata from Kamikazes. We recorded it together in a studio outside Madrid in April 2026.

Three bands that are legends in Spain, on one song by a band from Wrocław that nobody there had heard of five years earlier. On top of that, guest spots with Boikot at Castañazo Rock in Galicia, at Viña Rock and at Rabolagartija near Alicante, and in August 2026 the whole band at Aupa Lumbreiras.

Off stage

I worked in marketing for eleven years: new business, key accounts, campaigns. I managed budgets of around three million złoty (PLN) a year and ran campaigns for pharmaceutical and real estate brands. Today I use that experience in my own projects and with AI tools, which I use to build websites, video and automations. More: marketing and AI.

I run a one-person business in Wrocław, which the band uses to invoice its shows. Privately, I've been married for a year, and since September 2026 I'm the father of a daughter.

What I believe in

That it can be done. That's the whole philosophy. A guy from Wrocław who kept messaging a Spanish legend and got no answer for three years ended up on stage with them in front of a hundred thousand people. Not because he had a plan, but because he didn't stop writing.

I'm not interested in complaining, and I'm not interested in pretending it's easy. It is what it is, and it's beautiful.
