Punk rock isn't just music, it's an attitude. We collect school supplies for kids in children's homes and bring parcels where they're needed.

Trade a Marker for a Piggy

At our shows we run a campaign called “Trade a Marker for a Piggy” (in Polish: “Wymień mazaka na świniaka”). You bring school supplies, you get our piggy. We take everything we collect to children's homes.

It's about ordinary things that make a difference in September: markers, crayons, notebooks, sketchpads, backpacks, pencil cases. A kid who has something to write with and something to carry books in starts the school year like everyone else, not like the one somebody has to remember.

We hand everything over to Sister Pia of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Elizabeth in Wrocław.

Kharkiv

From June 2023 to January 2024 I lived in Kharkiv, Ukraine. At the end of 2023 we collected more than two hundred Christmas parcels and I drove them to children whose homes had been destroyed by Russian attacks. They got them for Christmas.

I don't make this into a hero story. I was there, I saw what everyday life looked like, and I knew what could be done. So it got done.

Shows and fundraisers

• Fundraisers for the “Iskierka” association, which supports children with cancer
• Supporting the “Serce w dobre ręce” campaign (Sopot, 2009)

Why we do it

Because we play for people, not at people. After a show we stand in the crowd, talk, take photos. It's hard to pretend afterwards that those people's problems are none of our business.

And because it works the other way too. When the guy who was screaming into the mic a minute ago asks for school supplies, people bring whole bags of them. Punk rock has that power.
